Prescriptive navigation

At Aisin Mobility, navigation is in our DNA. From our world-first audio guidance systems in 1992, we now offer our customers state-of-the-art navigation that is personalized, contextualized and anticipates the user’s every need. This is what we call prescriptive navigation.

From predictive to prescriptive

Our navigation systems use machine learning, statistical modeling and multiple data sources from the vehicle and its surroundings to provide personalized guidance proposals to users.

Driver ID & personalisation

The journey starts with driver ID. As our driver monitoring system identifies the driver, personal infotainment and navigation settings and preferences can be adjusted accordingly.

Fuel economy, EV charging

As our navigation systems understand the vehicle fuel type and fuel level or state of charge, routing is adapted to optimize consumption and refueling pitstops.

We have combined Aisin’s expertise in powertrain and connected navigation to produce predicted efficient drive and NAVI-MATIC. These technologies optimize regenerative braking and gear shifts based on information from the car’s navigation system in order to reduce fuel consumption.

Driving style can also be optimized for fuel economy through our personalized driver coaching.

Low Emission Zones

Cities are increasingly imposing rules and restrictions for urban driving, adding complexity and stress for drivers when planning their route. Our systems can offer multiple solutions, including specific information on LEZs on the route, saving EV for LEZs, navigating around LEZs, or even assisting with procurement of LEZ passes.

On-street parking

It is estimated that about 30% of the cars circling a city at any given time are doing so as drivers look for parking*. Aisin Mobility’s navigation service includes our proprietary winning strategy for on-street parking. Smart algorithms guide users seamlessly to streets with the highest probability of finding a parking spot that suits their vehicle.

  • 30-50% gains in park-and-walk times

  • Reduced stress for the driver

  • Works even without V2X data

  • Patented technology

Our world-leading hybrid navigation technology optimizes cloud and embedded navigation for constant connectivity with immediate response times and optimum data storage.

Navigation and ADAS, AD

Our prescriptive navigation paves the way for highly-automated and autonomous driving when machines will take decisions based on their understanding of driver preferences and of vehicles surroundings.

This is why our navigation systems work in harmony with the vehicle ADAS systems and the driver.

HD, connected map

We have commercial, incremental map update technology that is being developed to provide HD map information for assisted and autonomous driving.
